So it has been a very long time since I have touch or looked at this blog, which is really really sad.
Much has happened in my life since my last end of the month photo log. I'm probably going to update everything in time.. Considering I don't have much of it right now but it will be a slow process, so let's start with really raw writing.
I say this a lot, that I will make an effort of updating but I don’t because as you know.. life gets in the way, but you just have sit down start typing and just have at her, no excuses.
It’s a good reminder of my growth in life, even from the last time I wrote I feel like I’ve gained many new perspectives, what I use to do was try to erase my past (like literally) and start fresh each time I would write again, but it’s going to be a little different. This is me rough around the edges and all my imperfection along the course of life that I am no longer trying to perfect, so let this be a reminder of growth, of what I love and what I learn. So here goes..
come along again for the tedious life of what is me.

Tummy Chronicles: Sushi-Bar Miki
Overall Restaurant Rating: ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥
A few weekends ago..the dragged out tummy filling adventures, it sure seems like I went on hiatus for a little while there, boy I tell you I’ve been so tired and so busy trying to catch up on sleep, and fitting well life in between.
So let’s get down to what we tried a few weekends ago, so another sushi venture needed and so the manfriend picked me up from work and drove me to this little place located in somewhat a sketchy area, well yeah it was pretty sketchy and random, so hoping this little place would pleasantly surprise us just as The White Elephant did we curiously entered and took our seats. We ordered the (25.00) Assorted Sashimi (7 Kinds) ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Overall all the Sashimi was very fresh, and the presentation was good, the Red Tuna stood out for me the most, because usually I am not a huge fan of Tuna, but it was extremely tasty and left me wanting more.
Ebi (Steamed Prawn), Hokkigai (Surf Clam), Hotategai (Scallop), Maguro (Tuna), Special Marugo (Red Tuna), Shake (Salmon) and Hamachi (Yellow Tail)
the Takoyaki ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ I was so craving this.. mmm
the Volcano Roll (Hot and Spicy Shrimp) ♥♡♡♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Great presentation!! But a Volcano Roll without Spicy Mayo?! No thanks, it’s a petpeeve of mine when Sushi restaurants just put Sriracha on so-called “Volcano Rolls”, like Sakana..that’s an instant -♥♥♥♥ negative four hearts for no effort.
the Miki Special Agedashi Tofu ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Interesting combination of Tempura and Tofu all my favorites in a dish. Yumm.and after those I was still hungry, so we got a second round of individual Sashimi..
Shake (Salmon) ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥
Amaebi (Raw Prawn) ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥
SP Scallop (Masago Mayonnaise Scallop) ♥♡♡♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ No wonder they did not make spicy Mayo, because there Mayo tastes like it will give me a stomach ache, the Mayo is not very good and is pretty liquidy..werid!
Special Marugo (Red Tuna) ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ The first round was better.
Smoked Salmon ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥
The atmosphere isn’t bad, it’s small and cute, the food was mediocre, lots of hype for a little place and because of that I think I was expecting a lot more, I was expecting a little treasure in a hidden wall, but it was just..ok, I think I do need to come back and try out a few more rolls though, I’d give it another go..
And of course after any meal you need to sweeten your taste buds to some dessert, and it was a beautiful day out so we decided to drive all the way to My Favorite Little Ice Cream Shoppe.
I don’t know if I would say it’s my Favorite, but I do say they have tons and tons of flavours to choose from, a funky old school atmosphere. It was packed when we got there, and by the time we got our scoops we headed back to the car to avoid the Mosquitoes and stared at the “ I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream” Wall, and I quite like that.
And to end off the night, a walk along the Peace Bridge..

Tummy Chronicles: White Elephant Thai Cuisine
Overall Restaurant Rating: ♥♥♥♥♡/♥♥♥♥♥
A great little day full of surprises!
Definitely not what I expected! I heard this place get’s quite packed so I called in to make reservations, so in thinking that, I was expecting it to be pretty nice, as in pretty modern and you know fancier because the person who told me about this place never told me where it was or what it looked like. So we had a hard time finding it at first because it’s actually located in an Inn, and our first impression of this little restaurant was wow, it’s in a pretty shady Inn that’s pretty dirty, and the boyfriend looks at me and his expression is like “Wow, this place looks interesting..” And I was pretty much in the same boat. But after taking our seat I thought it was quite cute, not the Inn that it was in, haha but the little restaurant was filled with lots of old school tacky items that reminded me of what my grandparents use to have in their home, and that to me was super warm and comforting.
Let’s get to the food..
What was for din dins?
To start off we both ordered the Thai Ice Tea ♥♥♥♥♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Oh my goodness the first time I ever had this drink was at The King and I, and I thought it was amazing, and I drool dream about this drink quite often, and I thought the one at the King and I was amazing, this was even bigger and better, so so refreshing, and just the right sweetness.
Thai Chicken Satay ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ (Chicken Breast with Peanut Sauce and Cucumber Sauce) The peanut sauce was my favorite, and the sauce that was drizzled on the Chicken made the Chicken so flavorful.
Pad See Ew ♥♥♥♥♡/♥♥♥♥♥ (Rice Noodle, Gailan, Egg, Sauces, Beef)
Matsaman Chicken Curry ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ (Chicken, Peanut, Onion, Potato, Matsaman Curry, Tamarine Sauce)
with a large bowl of Coconut Rice.
But no means do I get to have a chance to gobble up tons and tons of Thai food, I think I’ve been to about three restaurants; Thai Boat, Thai Chilli Club, and The King and I, but I think by far this is my favorite out of the bunch. And to boot, the prices are way more reasonable.
So thanks to my loving boyfriend for surprising me at work, we had a chance to stop by this little place and have some amazing Thai food, a great day to start off my week.
A very surprised ohsotedious. ♥

Confessions of My Heart: Unraveling
It’s about making time and making sure that you don’t lose sight of what you have.
Because just like a ring on a finger.. the imprints of you will slowly fade away.
Nothing ever comes easy in life, it’s about balance, and my love..We’re losing balance.

Tummy Chronicles: Hot Point Fusion Cafe
I am awfully sorry, I have not kept up with blogging for a good few weeks now, due to laziness, and lack of motivation, and because I have been trying to adjust to these new foreign pieces of metal in my mouth, but that will be a later story.
Back to tummy Chronicles, so Hot Point! The last place that the manfriend took me before my awesome mouth of metal, and let me tell you, I could not be happier that I had the full use of my teeth for this little joint.
So you walk in, and if you have ever been to Bubblemania or to Dessert House, or any snaking Bubbletea place that’s the feel when you walk in, and I, for one am a big fan of little snaking places and to boot, they have these dark framed illustrations along the wall that I really really appreciate. Cute little table, cute little seat to share, like a little loveseat.
Oh to be totally off topic for a second, I came across a review before we had a chance to try this little place on beyond..haha and it made me lol. I enjoyed it.
http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread/t-350441.html
"Looking at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You don't stare at it, it's too risky. You get a sense of it then you look away." -Jerry Seinfeld Teehee, one of the comments. LOL
So this guy talks about one of the waitress’ bending over and flashing some you know tata’s and I couldn’t help but notice how low the tables are, and how indeed our waitress did indeed have to bend over quite far, as in elbows on the table far, and thankfully she was wearing a cleavage covering blouse, but just thought you guys should know my random thoughts.
Okay, obviously I am very random tonight, back to food..
So to start off Bubbleteas
Signature Milk Tea ♥♥♡♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Had mini hard shell Chocolates and Chocolate syrup, it kind of ruins the Milk Tea taste, it looked quite cute though, except it didn’t taste that awesome.
Green Apple Lychee Tea Slush ♥♡♡♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Only had a sip, it was a too little sour for my liking.
oh yeah.. and the Uji Ma-Cha Milk Tea ♥♡♡♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Yes, I did get two drinks, one for there and one for the way home, it’s how I Bubbletea, except this was very yuck, I only got it because of the random name to be honest, I love trying what I don't know on the the menu. To bad this time that did not work in my favor.
and to the food Original Egg Puff ♥♥♡♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Mmm, not bad, but not as good as the little Bubbletea place at the old Franklin Mall. I wanted to steal their candy heart plate! Boyfriend said no..made me a sad ohsotedious. :(
Spicy Beef Hot Soup ♥♥♥♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ I would come back and order this one! Yummy in my tum tum.
Curry Fish Ball Hot Soup ♥♡♡♡♡/♥♥♥♥♥ Tasteless, too generic of a Curry soup base..thumbs down.
I could definitely not tell which soup was which when they brought them out to our table, and so I ended up eating the boyfriends and the whole time we were like hmm..which one is which and I was even awesome enough to say that mine was better because I always have better menu sense, and I always pick the yummiest things, except it was his I was eating, haha. And the Spicy Beef was way better than the Curry Fish Ball, I will not be ordering that again, poor boyfriend had my crummy hot pot. So overall, I like the overall cute Asian hangout feel, not very good Bubbletea though, it’s unique in a sense and I like it, I would go back for some yummy Spicy Beef Hot Pot. And oh yes, it's super affordable!!
And because I am the biggest creeper here's a shot I took with my phone just to prove my elbow-to-table description.
Oh..my..hehe love, ohsotedious ♥
