Tummy Chronicles: White Elephant Thai Cuisine

Overall Restaurant Rating: ♥♥♥♥/♥♥♥♥♥

A great little day full of surprises!

Definitely not what I expected! I heard this place get’s quite packed so I called in to make reservations, so in thinking that, I was expecting it to be pretty nice, as in pretty modern and you know fancier because the person who told me about this place never told me where it was or what it looked like. So we had a hard time finding it at first because it’s actually located in an Inn, and our first impression of this little restaurant was wow, it’s in a pretty shady Inn that’s pretty dirty, and the boyfriend looks at me and his expression is like “Wow, this place looks interesting..” And I was pretty much in the same boat. But after taking our seat I thought it was quite cute, not the Inn that it was in, haha but the little restaurant was filled with lots of old school tacky items that reminded me of what my grandparents use to have in their home, and that to me was super warm and comforting.

Let’s get to the food..
What was for din dins?
To start off we both ordered the Thai Ice Tea
♥♥♥♥/♥♥♥♥♥ Oh my goodness the first time I ever had this drink was at The King and I, and I thought it was amazing, and I drool dream about this drink quite often, and I thought the one at the King and I was amazing, this was even bigger and better, so so refreshing, and just the right sweetness.
Thai Chicken Satay
♥♥♥/♥♥♥♥♥ (Chicken Breast with Peanut Sauce and Cucumber Sauce) The peanut sauce was my favorite, and the sauce that was drizzled on the Chicken made the Chicken so flavorful.
Pad See Ew
♥♥♥♥/♥♥♥♥♥ (Rice Noodle, Gailan, Egg, Sauces, Beef)
Matsaman Chicken Curry
♥♥♥/♥♥♥♥♥ (Chicken, Peanut, Onion, Potato, Matsaman Curry, Tamarine Sauce)
with a large bowl of Coconut Rice.

But no means do I get to have a chance to gobble up tons and tons of Thai food, I think I’ve been to about three restaurants; Thai Boat, Thai Chilli Club, and The King and I, but I think by far this is my favorite out of the bunch. And to boot, the prices are way more reasonable.

So thanks to my loving boyfriend for surprising me at work, we had a chance to stop by this little place and have some amazing Thai food, a great day to start off my week.

A very surprised ohsotedious.
